How does the Referral Process Work?

People are recommended for placement by the Social Work departments (or their agencies e.g. Momentum) of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire Council. They may also be referred by NHS staff or members of the Community Mental Health teams. In some cases self-referrals may be considered. Recent  referrals have come through the New Deal arrangements and Job Centres.

Leaflets ( referrers_flyer_2008),  newsletters, referral guidelines and this web site provide information for potential referrers.  Solstice staff also maintain regular contact with existing City and Shire referrers.

In some cases, Solstice will agree a sessional rate with referrers. In the case of New Deal participants, a national rate is applicable.
